Alex Pietrowski of Waking Times writes:
No one really knows the true cause of autism, but the numbers are rising, with approximately 1 in 50 school-aged children in the United States diagnosed with autism (2011). Taking into account that in 2007 this ratio was at 1 in 87 children, by 2025 it is predicted that half of United States children will have autism.
Effective treatment for autism is desperately needed, but the medical establishment has been largely unsuccessful. This is why parents of autistic children, such as Kerri Rivera, often have no choice but to take matters into their own hands when learning to cope with raising an autistic child. To share her amazing discoveries in treating autism with the world she wrote the book Healing the Symptoms Known as Autism, which explains the treatment protocol she developed.
Rivera developed the Chlorine Dioxide (CD) autism treatment protocol that addresses the presence of pathogens, such as fungi, bacteria, heavy metals, parasites, candida, etc., found in almost every child with autism. She believes that CD treatment effectively kills off these pathogens that are causing inflammation and autoimmune response, which in turn manifest themselves into a complex of symptoms, which we call autism, that produce near complete impairment of social interactions.
Rivera’s treatment has reportedly resulted in the recovery of over one hundred autistic children, and many parents would even consider her protocol to a possible autism cure.
In her book, Rivera states:
Today more than 115 children globally have lost their diagnosis of autism (meaning an ATEC score of under 10 points).
Additionally, thousands of children around the globe have dropped points on their ATEC and are moving towards recovery. 27 children in less than 1 year in Venezuela alone lost their diagnosis of autism with a combination of diet, CD, and ocean water to the surprise of the doctors who diagnosed them in the first place. Many of those same doctors are now looking at CD for other patients.
Update: More recently, Rivera claimed 164 children were cured using her treatment via her Facebook page, although the page is no longer active.
Note: ATEC stands for Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist
Dr. Lorna B. Oritz, President of Curando el Autismo, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing information about successful autism treatments in Spanish to Hispanic families, believes Rivera is one of the first courageous leaders who have dedicated their lives to understanding the mysterious connection between the immune system, the brain and human behavior.
“Kerri’s protocols have been indispensable to the full recovery of many of the kids in our Cuarando de Autismo Foundation. These protocols represent a readily available and effective solution to alleviate most of the pathogenic insults to the immune system.”
Why are potential solutions such as Rivera’s treatment for autism often ignored or ridiculed by the medical establishment?
Currently, there is no mainstream support for research into why CD helps treat the symptoms known as autism. The medical establishment is profit centered and acceptable treatments and cures must pass through an impossible maze of corporate competion and goverment red tape. Simple, affordable solutions to complex problems are not elevated and promoted in this environment. These types of solutions continue to also find it difficult to receive approval among medical journals, which by the way are compromised and increasingly funded by drug companies.
Here’s Rivera’s take:
The development of this protocol has been a growing grass roots effort, in sharp contrast to how modern medicine usually works. The reason for this is clear: Modern medicine has not really helped to heal autism and may very well be part of its cause. While we don’t have any double blind studies to rest on, we do have a slew of anecdotal evidence, which may not mean much to those in the arena of modern medicine or modern science, that doesn’t make it any less real.
