I’m sure you’ve all heard at some point the quote by Henry Ford that goes, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right.” We are never quite taught just how vital our opinion of our own capabilities is when it comes to what actually manifests from even our most trying efforts.
You see, I’m a major supporter of adding what I like to call “Life 101” to the curriculum of our current and might I add, a rather outdated education system that teaches its own version of facts and history. Which, may I add only prepares us for a life as a cog in the wheel of society…when we are all born for more, so much more.
As the mainstream media continues to do what it does best and keep the general population “fear-locked”, the general message continues to be that negative news is the only news that warrants any kind of attention. In other words, if it isn’t dramatic or tragedy-related, no one really cares. And while we all understand this observation, we may not all agree that this is innate for humans to only seek interest in the MISfortunes of others. I am one of those people who has a quite different view…
As I continue to grow on my own journey in life, both in age and maturity and also Self-awareness, I could not help but notice that as time goes by my interest in that kind of “focus” still acts to interest me less and less. It seems to be that the more I make conscious choices to build my OWN world, the less the one outside seems to be in shambles or full of such ignorance and hate.
But that’s the trick…making conscious choices! And not only making them once but every single day, all day because once you stop moving you risk getting lost in what I call “the illusion”. I call it that because energy must move, is moving, has always moved and always will move. And once we stop consciously choosing (moving our own energy with intention), there is no option but to BE moved.
So, let’s talk about priming the present moment to serve us in what we are trying to manifest in our lives. To do that, we must first know what that is. If we refer back to what we learn in school, again it seems to be the social norm to moan about everything we don’t have, places we can’t go, things we can’t do, etc.
And when there actually IS focus on what we can do (which is truly anything we believe we can and put all that belief forth into our efforts to make it happen), it is backed with ego and comparison because it usually has to do with competition whether it be sports, looks, social class, etc. So it’s time for a change. It’s time we learn that being selfish is HEALTHY!
Yes, that’s right! We must stop shaming ourselves for merely caring about ourselves and our own needs. We do not justify neglect in any other beings, so why do we do it with ourselves? And besides, you are no good to anyone else if you do not take care of yourself first. As the saying goes, you cannot pour from an empty cup!
A primed present is one that is centered and committed to a specific outcome and does not let mere opinions of others waver one’s intentions, desires, nor beliefs about one’s own capabilities. In fact, it must be primed to the point it becomes as innate as taking your next breath; without effort, planning or thought. You’ve already done that! So, once you have your plan in place and know what you have to do, get to work, trust the Universe has got your back and KNOW that you can do it.
And guess what? You will! When the present is primed to perfection with a purpose, a fantastic future focus is inevitable. Happy manifesting! 🙂
