Are you the stereotypical bright-eyed, bushy-tailed morning person who’s up at the crack of dawn? Or, like me, someone who just can’t be asked to get up for love nor money?
3 Ways to Have You Leaping Out From Under the Covers!
This is how I sometimes manage to get my sorry derriere out of the plush wonders of my warm and cozy bed:
- Get Happy — my fuzzy place has always been with music. If I can listen to music and dance about the house whilst cleaning the toilet or doing the dishes, I’m happy. No music and I’m a miserable git. So, the first thing that motivates me out of bed is the thought of putting on my favourite song. Do you have a morning song?
“Forget your troubles and just get happy. You better chase all your cares away. Sing Hallelujah, come on, get happy”
- Get Plotting — Director, direct! Visualize — while your still under the blankets — what this day is going to look like. Inject it with good feelings, positive thought streams and tell yourself this is going to be a great day. Dang, it could very well be the best day of your life so far! Whatever you have to face today, affirm that everything will go smoothly and that you’re going to have loads of fun and reasons to laugh. Whenever I do this visualization technique, it absolutely affects how my day starts to unfold (for the better, I guarantee!). You will start to see just what an incredibly powerful creator of your experience you are.
- Get Dressed for Success! — Roxette hit the nail on the head. Have a little think, before you get up, about how you want to look today — tap into how you are feeling and what you want to project during the course of the day. You can be as spiritual as punch but you’ve still got to get grooming. Why? You feel better when you look better. This is not as much a vanity thing as it is a common sense thing. You feel better when your house is clean and looks good, right? Same goes for your appearance.
